Individual Membership

Membership in the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) provides opportunities for individuals involved with commercial real estate as owners, developers, and investors, as well as those whose companies support this industry, to get the benefits of networking, education, and legislative representation.

NAIOP members include owners, developers, investors, asset managers, property managers, lenders, marketers, brokers, facility managers, architects, planners, engineers, contractors, attorneys, consultants, title companies, utility companies, public agencies, educational institutions.

In NAIOP's Massachusetts Chapter, you may join as an individual or as a corporate member. A Principal Member is the first person to join in a company that owns, develops, or invests in commercial real estate. Each additional member from that company is considered an Affiliate Member. An Associate Member is the first person to join a company in a field other than ownership, development or investment.

If you are 35 years of age or under, you are eligible for the NAIOP Now membership - a great opportunity for younger professionals to join NAIOP at a significantly reduced rate and start building relationships in the business. Professionals 35 and under can join NAIOP as individuals for only $225. There is no limit to the number of eligible employees who may join at this reduced rate. If your company is a corporate member (see below) then 35 and under employees can join for only $100. Proof of age is required.

NAIOP Now is a separate membership category for eligible individuals and is not part of any other form of membership in NAIOP. Other members of the same firm who do not qualify for NAIOP Now, would pay the standard dues for a Principal member and for subsequent members of the firm.

If you are interested in becoming a member, please either fill out the Membership Application or contact the NAIOP Massachusetts office at 781.453.6900 ext. 3.

Corporate Membership

The Massachusetts Chapter of NAIOP started its Corporate Membership program in 1994 and has, to date, 153 companies as members. With the annual payment of $2,700, a company is allowed up to 5 memberships (both state and national). If any individuals within a company are currently members, their memberships can be upgraded to a corporate one.

As an added benefit for our corporate member firms, additional employees 35 years of age and under may join NAIOP for only $100 through NAIOP Now membership. Proof of age is required.

A major benefit of this membership is that all employees of that company will be allowed to attend all local Chapter programs and events at the "member" rate. Corporate Member firms will be listed on a special page in the Chapter Membership Directory and will be given recognition at the Annual Meeting and at any "sponsor appreciation programs".

If you are interested in participating in this program, please either fill out the Corporate Membership Information Request Form or contact the NAIOP Massachusetts office at 781. 453.6900 ext. 3.
