NAIOP People's Committee

The NAIOP People's Committee was created to better enable the commercial real estate industry to work with elected officials in Massachusetts. The NAIOP People's Committe is a special fund made up entirely of personal contributions from NAIOP members. These personal contributions are pooled to help support those legislators and candidates who understand the vital contributions the development industry makes to communities throughout Massachusetts.
Why should I contribute to the NAIOP People's Committee? You should contribute in order to strengthen your political voice. When you make a contribution, you help NAIOP strengthen relationships with those in the Legislature who affect how you do business. The NAIOP People's Committee contributes to many candidates, from both parties, throughout the Commonwealth.
How much can I contribute? State election law permits an individual to contribute up to $156 per year to the NAIOP People's Committee. (Elected officials, however, do not have a limit on how much they can accept from a People's Committee.)
What is the difference between a PAC and a People's Committee? While there is an annual limit on what candidates may receive from PACs in the aggregate, candidates face no limit on total contributions from People's Committees. A People's Committee is a committee that gives to five or more candidates, receives contributions only from individuals, and agrees to abide by a contribution limit of $156 (indexed biennially) per individual in a calendar year.
How can I contribute? Donations made by personal check may be mailed to NAIOP People's Committee c/o NAIOP 144 Gould Street, Suite 140 Needham, MA 02494. To donate using a personal credit card, click here.
