NAIOP Massachusetts Introduces 2026 Leadership:
Melissa Schrock to Serve as 2026 Chapter President; Doug Manz Named Board Chair
Exceptional NAIOP Members & Project Teams Recognized with Special Awards
Boston, MA — At its Annual Meeting on November 19, NAIOP Massachusetts, The Commercial Real Estate Development Association, announced the election of its new President and Board members. The Board, comprised of many of the region’s prominent commercial real estate leaders, will guide NAIOP’s priorities in the upcoming year.
Melissa Schrock, Executive Vice President of Mixed-Use Development at HRP Group, was elected as NAIOP Massachusetts President for 2026. In this role, Schrock will collaborate closely with NAIOP staff and Chapter leadership to guide the organization’s initiatives and support its members. NAIOP’s 2025 President, Doug Manz, will transition to serve as the organization’s 2026 Board Chair. Other officers include Patrick Sousa of Marcus Partners as President-Elect, Stephen Davis of The Davis Companies as Treasurer, and Damian Szary of Redgate, the newest addition to NAIOP’s Board Management Committee, who will serve as the Secretary. James Tierney of JLL and Erin Corcoran of Greystar will serve as advisors to the Board Management Committee.
“NAIOP is the voice of the commercial real estate development industry across Massachusetts,” said Schrock. “I look forward to working alongside NAIOP’s staff and leadership team to support the industry while providing education, advocacy, and opportunities to help NAIOP members succeed.”
Schrock leads HRP Group’s national mixed-use development platform, locally spearheading the 776 Summer project in Boston.

At the Annual Meeting, NAIOP Massachusetts also presented special awards recognizing significant contributions to the industry. The 2025 President’s Award was presented to Alyssa Morris of AEW Capital Management, in recognition of her outstanding contributions and commitment to NAIOP's continued growth. Paula Devereaux of Pierce Atwood LLP, received the 2025 Government Affairs Champion Award in recognition of her exceptional advocacy benefiting the commercial real estate industry.
For the very first year, NAIOP Massachusetts also recognized outstanding projects across the Commonwealth with the Development of the Year Awards. DUO, developed by John M. Corcoran & Co., Joseph J. Corcoran, and Marcus Partners, was awarded the Urban Development of the Year Award. Developed by The HYM Investment Group, The Newbury of Brookline was awarded the Suburban Development of the Year Award. Finally, as the first successful air rights project in Boston in over 40 years, Lyrik Back Bay, developed by Samuels & Associates, was awarded the Distinguished Development of the Year Award.
In addition, members of NAIOP Massachusetts voted to change the association's name to the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (CREDA) Massachusetts, marking an important next chapter for the organization. The change will take effect on July 1, 2026.
